Lake Stage

Set beside a natural biotope pond,
Lake Stage is the heart of

EACH STORY.
Sound drifts across the water

as daylight turns to dusk.

The sky and landscape
slowly change around you.
Music, people, and nature
come together here
throughout the day.

Hill Stage

Set on a rolling grassy hill,
Hill Stage overlooks
the festival grounds.
A DJ booth and sub-stage
Music travels with the wind
and changing sunlight.
From here, you can feel
the wider flow
of EACH STORY.

River Stage

Tucked among the trees,
River Stage sits beside
a flowing forest stream.
Water and music move
through the space together.
Sound design by Pardon Kimura
draws on the natural acoustics
of the river and woods,
creating an intimate place
for deeper listening.

space opera symphony

This experimental project uses the

" now here machine "

to convert the life signals of

various microorganisms and plants into sound,

creating a unique collaboration between

these natural entities and humans.

"An experimental performance where the biological

signals of fungi and plants are converted

into sound using the nowheremachine,

creating music in collaboration with humans.

This year, COMPACT Shrine presents

Space Opera Symphonie at

EACH STORY with a unique ensemble.

Fungi gathered from participants using bread dough will be transformed into

electronic sounds, forming a space-like symphony with live performances.

Everyone will be a co-creator in this musical exploration.

Look forward to possible surprise performers!

Sound Installation

KANKYO DOT : Resonant Fields

KANKYO DOT is a sound installation by Yoshio Ojima,
a pioneering figure in Japanese environmental music, and dublab.jp.

Premiering at EACH STORY 2026,
its new work Resonant Fields unfolds over 31 hours,
structured as eight distinct chapters.

Music by Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano
is reconfigured into a continuous 31-hour composition
using AISO, a generative system
that continually creates new musical forms.

ADAM Audio monitor speakers, developed in Berlin,
are distributed throughout the forest
to create a clear, immersive surround-sound environment
within the landscape.

At the same time, the acoustic environment
and surrounding sounds of the site are captured
with an ambisonic microphone and streamed live
in binaural audio via dublab.jp.

From anywhere in the world, listeners can enter
a sonic environment shaped in real time —
a unique convergence of music, place, and atmosphere
that will never occur in exactly the same way again.

Generative System: AISO
