Second Lineup Announced!
7/11/25, 9:00 AM
The second wave of performers for “EACH STORY”—the open-air listening festival often called a “paradise of sound”—has just been revealed!
Leading the announcement is the singular genius Devendra Banhart, known for his powerful presence and organic sound that spans free folk, ambient, and psychedelic rock. Joining him is renowned producer Noah Georgeson, celebrated for his work with The Strokes. The two, who co-created the deep and meditative ambient album REFUGE in 2021, will be joined by guitarist Gyan Riley—son of minimal music pioneer Terry Riley and a frequent collaborator of Paul Simon, Arooj Aftab, and John Zorn—for a special “3-guitar” set.
Also returning to Japan after his acclaimed debut last year is Dutch multi-instrumentalist FELBM, who will perform with a trio formation of contrabass, piano, and flute, showcasing music from his latest album winterspring/summerfall, released in May 2025.
Other additions include:
– Vincent Moon, the cult-adored, globe-trotting filmmaker from Paris
– maya ongaku, a rising three-piece band from Enoshima making waves at festivals and tours both in Japan and abroad
– Japanese chill-out and Balearic pioneer Calm
– Globally respected ambient/drone artist Chihei Hatakeyama, known especially across North America
– Tokyo-based composer, architect, and Kankyō Records founder H. Takahashi, whose work spans international labels
– Legendary DJ YAMA a.k.a Sahib, active since the late '80s as part of JAZZBROTHERS
– And revered selector Ryo Ishii, who has shaped spaces through sound for over four decades on radio and in clubs.
This second announcement once again reflects EACH STORY’s uniquely curated and internationally acclaimed lineup—bridging Japan and the world with boundary-pushing artists.
